This sculpture was carved out of a 4 ft high log which was washed up from the sea on the west coast of Scotland - a great opportunity of re-cycling. The owl was commissioned as a gift for a retirement present - the recipient was apparently as clever as a wise old owl! and the sculpture would fit in well to the surrounding garden grounds of his thatched cottage.
